Inside a Moyosore verification: what we actually check
"Verification" can mean almost anything, so here's exactly what happens after you send us a listing, no vague promises.
Step 1: You send us the essentials
The listing link, the landlord or agency's contact details, and any documents or messages you've already exchanged. The more you send, the faster and more precise the check.
Step 2: Listing authenticity check
We cross-reference the photos, price, and description against ImmoScout24, WG-Gesucht, eBay Kleinanzeigen, and general web search to see if the listing has been duplicated or copied from a legitimate source elsewhere.
Step 3: Landlord / agency identity check
We look for a verifiable connection between the person you're speaking to and the property: registration details, consistent contact history, and documentation they're willing to provide.
Step 4: Physical inspection, if you've added it
In Berlin, Potsdam, and Hamburg, a team member can visit the property directly, confirm it exists and matches what was advertised, and speak to whoever is on-site.
Step 5: You get a plain-language verdict
Not a vague "looks fine." A written summary covering what we checked, what we found, and a clear recommendation: proceed, proceed with caution and here's why, or don't send money.
What we can't do
We can't guarantee a landlord's behaviour after you've signed a lease, and we're not a substitute for reading your contract carefully (though our Comprehensive plan includes a contract read-through). We're here for the moment that matters most: before you pay.
